💪 The Challenge

NI Water came to us looking for a better way to show their users how to fill in applications, since current users rang and emailed a lot for help. This was a constant time waste on admin part, users were left frustrated and application processed were far too long due to errors.

I came up with the idea of a popup that offers support to users, when they download, they are now presented with the application processes. It's an easy step by step guide with physical examples. This worked well and the calls to the support landline with this issue decreased greatly.

⭐️  The Process

  • User research and Product Discovery: After speaking to the client I came up with solution of a guided walkthrough popup. Which would very clearly show examples of application and how it needs to be filled out to reduce all the mistakes the admins mentioned.
  • Designing: I used the pre existing design branding to create a new popup on top of the application page. The popup had very clear steps, written visuals of the form being filled and an easy to see step by step guide.

🎯 The Outcome

The client was immensly happy as this feature reduced the amount of support calls, it allowed admins to focus on the actual application not the process of filling it out
